Ok my little boy is 2 and he does the same thing. Ur little boy
is SOOO ready! So what you do is sit him down on the potty (he has his own lol) and read to him or let him eat on it. Just untill the first time he goes and then he'll understand. When he wakes up in the morning is ur best bet. Also you have to leave the potty in 1 spot so that he knows where its at and dont move it around. I would try to sit him on it through out the day just to pee. Even after he eats. My son goes in2 a corner or under the table to poop. So if ur does the same grab him and let him sit on the chair and play or read to him or such. So yea Id say go for it and you'll get the hang of it.

Boys, Girls train both to set-down. Get some little tighty whities. Pottie needs to be close at hand at all times and bring your egg timer along. Every 15 minutes you will need to go pottie. (easiest if everyone sets down to go pottie during training) Have plenty of your sons favorite drinks and offer it. There will be some wet tighty whities, dont let off on this process. You will need to travel with a pottie for some time but I'm sure that you will do a "Great Job". Dipper at night is fine. Three days and you all should be trained. Good luck.

I've heard a lot of people say that potty training boys is harder. With my boys this wasn't true. About 1 or 2 weeks before we started like a "going potty is kool" advertising campaign. We talked about it bought cool underwear. I know this sounds so crazy but we taught our boys to pee outside on trees and rocks and they thought it was so fun that they never would pass up an opportunity to pee outside so they pretty much trained themselves. Then once they had knowing when they had to go down we showed them a new game were we put a cheerio in the toilet and let them play target.
It made potty training fun and low stress for all of us.
I would recommend though whatever you do not to use pull ups I really think they sabotage you. Every one I know who has used them it took weeks to train.

we are still in the process of training my 2yr son he only wears a diaper at bed time, we call the bathroom many dif things potty, toilet, bathroom, washroom. We sing songs while sitting on the throne like " pee-pee in the potty " and then when and only when he uses it we clap and horay and make a huge deal especially when number 2. i dont stress that boys stand to pee one thing at a time he didn't want a training toilet but gets on the big toilet all on his own. he has been easier than my little girl was go figure eh

Potty sitting down first until they get the hang of it, and then Toilet standing up with cheerios to aim. I have 2 boys 8 and 9. Sounds like he is ready.

My son was pretty good w/ the peeing but he refused to poop on the potty. I had to let him run around w/o a pullup or pants and then he got it. He refused to go on the floor so once he went in the potty it was all good. Not sure if that will work for peeing or not? I also put him in underwear so he could feel the yucky wetness when he did pee. Hope that helps!

My son is my second child. He was quite easy to train. We just always let him come in the bathroom with us, and also when he was old enough, we took him shopping for "big boy" underwear and stressed to him how he needed to use the toilet in order to keep said undies nice. We praised him for each time he went in the toilet and when he had an accident, told him it was o.k., just keep trying.

I'm pregnant with a boy...our first boy and I already had this discussion with my husband. My husband thought and I agreed
first teach to do both sitting and once he has both down pat teach him to stand for one and sit for the other and explain the difference in simple terms why. To teach aim place toilet paper in the water and tell him to hit the target.

it is probably time to try. However do not give up it took my son awhile to get the hang of it. My best advice is to have him go into the bathroom with you and his dad and have him try to go to the bathroom when you are done. for the aiming thin Cheerios's or fruit loops in the toilet. have him shoot them. believe it or not it works. My son is 7 and that made it fun for him.
Good Luck

For urinating is real easy, have hubby take him in and show him for one also put a single piece of TP in the bowl and let him play "sink the boat" with it. It really does work (5 boyus lol)
