Being physically fit is part of it, but also important are intelligence, honesty, confidence, concern, and a sense of humor. Personally, I was always a sucker for the feminine tomboy look. You know,the kind of girl who looks great in a dress, but almost never wears one. I was going out with my future wife for 6 months before I ever saw her in a skirt, and when I did, that kinda sealed the deal right there.
Bottom line, nothing puts a guy off more than a girl who takes herself too seriously and plays games. Be comfortable with who you are, it's the best statement you can make to encourage someone else to get to know you.

personality must be friendly and fun. those girls that sit in the back of the room waiting for someone to ask them to dance turn me off. It shows that they have no confidence in themselves. No guy wants a girl that asks him if she's pretty every 5 mins. To get their attention i usually ask for a dance (if at a club) if not then i usually flirt with them for a long period of time and make eye contact the whole time.
SECRET TRICK: tell a secret to a guy the more you open up, the more he opens ups and once the other person knows certain things about you, a strong relationship is formed.

a girl can turn me on by her strong personality, simple but you know, there's something inside her that you can tell even if she's quite and simple because I need to get ready when it suddenly turns to a loud yet with sense and creative personality. The boobs are so physical, you can't tell that your relationship will last by just looking at her boobs, come on, NOT all men are looking on the boobs and butt factor, we are modern now, we need girl whose personality is strong. You know. Like Natalie Portman, when you look at her she's good, but inside her, there's more than meets the eye, she's intelligent, etc.., thats it. And in order to get their attention, we simply say hi, and appreciate whatever good traits that she has. You know, we already courting you in the way of making you happy but we still know our limitation when it comes in "getting to know each other" part. thats it. ask them if they want to hang out. but at first make sure you get to know them. you'll meet them because you have something in common. Men have no guidelines about what turns us on. Most of us just want sex, and those that don't usually don't know how to talk to girls. my advise is, start a conversation as if the guy were just another girl you wanted to hang out with. I'm married and at that point, the game is over and all this dating game stuff is history. Just hang out! people will let you know that they are attracted to you. when they do, try a move, if it fails, back off and apologize, and then all you do is wait for them to make a move. and if you wait long enough, they eventually will...

I really like girls who enjoy laughing, nothing is sexier then a girl when she is smiling.
Edit: I just noticed your second question. I usually don't confront them because I'm pretty shy but when girls come up to me to talk I usually try to make them laugh. If you make sure the girl that is with you is having a good time then all is well in my opinion.

Honestly if it is someone I can laugh with that is huge. Also if she can hold a conversation with me for I don't know at least a half an hour. That is great! I also find intelligence to be very sexy as well. Guys don't like dumb biatches.

No bitching, good sense of humor, not hanging all over me all the time, not expecting me to make the first move all the time, understanding that sex does not always have to be preceded wit intimate talk sometimes it needs to just be dirty f-ing.

if i like someone i will go talk to her.....its depends on how she reacts and her behavior.
what the point if someone has good look and pitch black heart. know wat i mean...
then u get her attention, like being there for her, supporting her,stuff like that.
