Remember that the virtual world is such a place of fantasy. What you are seeing is a flat picture of who that person is. You are seeing only what he wants to show you.
Although, there IS something about the written word that makes you feel that you can see into someone's soul. (Many people have found lasting relationships through correspondence. )
The best way to really find out what someone is all about is to email- about everything and anything. If the relationship can stand up to that, you just might have something.
Most people don't want to hear all the little mundane things about us, it takes someone who is very, very interested to stay the course when you're telling him about the spider you found in the bathtub and the sale you found on shoes.
Also if while you are doing all this, he's running off a quick line now and then and appears impatient or exasperated with the relationship- run, far, far away, he has other fish to fry.

We can have admiration and friendship with out it being romantic. Just become a "fan" of his.
If he's so wise and admirable, he's probably an old man, a hermit, married, and a grandfather, or at the least, a dork.

Sometimes the best of friends are virtual friends. They are someone that you can talk to and wont judge you and it is not like you actually know the person,so really no harm done!! I say tell him what you feel!!

well and type on online contact with complete strangers is potentially dangerous. There is an option 2 become their fan and then you can email them. Mabye discuss things like his views or culture with him, but don't surrender any personal info. Good Luck!

Email him and leave him a comment or ask a question about a resolved question he's asked. If he emails back, take the opportuntity to share with him your thoughts, that you admire hi spirit, and see where it goes from there. It's not like you're asking him on a date... yet... just telling him that you like his responses. :)

Sure, tell him how you feel. Go with your feelings. You may get a great friendship out of it; you may get something more. If it doesn't work out (or if he is married, involved, etc.) at least you will have tried and maybe made a great friend.
Good luck to you.

it does not hurt to stay in contact with them, and be honest and just tell him....every relationship starts with honesty......even though the chances are that you may never meet in person, you can not start any kind of a relationship based on dishonesty.....just tell him, he may feel the same way you do...good luck

Email him. I wouldn't provide too much personal info because you don't actually know him. Email for a good while, then send a pic, etc...

Normal, feel something by the way he expresses himself. I think this happens to all of us at one time or another.
