This may sound like hyperbole, but I'm dead serious. Bush is working toward the replacement of our Democratic Republic with a "Christian" theocracy. Go to Wikepedia and look up Dominionism and Leo Strauss.

It's about the clear and hold. The U.S. military has no trouble clearing an area. The Iraqis do have a problem holding the area. The reasons include: There are not enough trained Iraqis, the Iraqis that are trained are poorly equipped and sometimes not paid, some of the Iraqis are poorly motivated with only one third showing up on average at any one time. It takes time to train and equip the Iraqis and that's why Bush is preaching patients.

September, he plans to leave office with the thing left for the next guy. He can always say the next guy didn't handle it right? He talks about the young Americans fighting and their patriotism and bravery. He had two daughters that were not great scholars. Granted they'd have had to have a pretty protected ride in the military. Still the sentiment would have meant something. One is down in Central America writing a book on a single woman that has contracted AIDS. I don't like to hear about people suffering. Still, you've got AMERICANS!, dying and being maimed in a war your daddy started, and your worried about some lady that contracted AIDS in Central America screwing around?????? GW started something that Dick told him would be a push over. His pride won't let him back out. Don't matter how much blood is spilled.

Any goal to ensure our freedom and safety for years to come, is worth fighting for...our military is here to carry out these missions regardless of personal opinion.it is a all volunteer fighting force..if they have issues with war, then that becomes their problem...extended deployments are part of the military..if you do not want to be deployed, then do not enlist in the military..he is the President of the most powerful nation on earth, he will do what he and his staff feel is in the best interest of the USA,

Obviously the military has done it's job (American military). I'm a bit disappointed with Presidential follow through regarding Iraqi stabilization and political motivation. I don't think the second part of the war was well thought out.

He says a stable democracy will settle the region. But I don't see it. They've been fighting each other for 1000 years and before the invasion I don't think Bush knew or cared about any history or culture there.

I think he wants a govt that will privatize oil so we can do business.

To build sand castles, and replenish our deteriorating beach fronts with more sand....

He tells you all the time what his goal is.. To get their government up and running, and to have their security forces take over our military efforts...

Thats called thinking... Try thinking yourself before posting another Liberal biased question... You know the answer, but you want to find out how many more liberal pansies are out there that support your useless cause....

To keep it going long enough for him to leave office and blame everything else on Clinton, Congress and the next administration.
