Ach now. I canna believe you'd be asking such a thing. Irish music played with a Violin? Have ye never listened to the Chieftans or Altan? Have ye never listened to a Jig or a Reel, or a good Irish Lullaby? I posted a couple of links below. If that's what your'e looking for, then dig in and be glad for the generosity of souls who would put such bounty on the wireless, and all for free mind ye! If not, I'm dreadful sorry I couldna' have been more help.

If ur looking for music to play urself, get O'Neill's 1001 tunes. Specific tunes - Drowsy Maggie (my favourite). Irish Washerwoman, St. Annes's Reel, Merry Blacksmith, Harvest Home, Soldier's Joy, Boys of Bluehill. I play all these on fiddle or mandolin or tenor banjo. If u want CD's Altan are a good band (they're from Riverdance), but there are so many out there, u need to go to ur local music shop & see what u can find. Hope this helps,.

Natalie MacMaster plays some Cape Breton Irish style! She is really the best for this style of music. She also has a website by the same name

Might not be exactly what you are looking for, but one of the most amazing violin recordings I've ever heard (and I've heard a lot of them!) is "Last Rose of Summer" variations played live by Midori in Carnegie Hall. Unbelievable!
