The ingredients used are the culprit. Lettuce, tomatoes, etc. do not have a lot of calories, but the croutons, fried in oil, the salad dressing(very fattening).....those are the things that make salads fattening. I have learned to stay away from restaurant prepared salads and make my own, with a dressing of herb vinegar and sunflower oil. Very tasty and a lot less calories than those salad dressings. I do not put croutons in my salad either, because they are calorie bombs. In chefsalads it's even worse because of the meat these restaurants use, the eggs have calories etc.etc.--it does add up.

It's mostly the dressing - but what is a salad without dressing? The grilled chicken isnt so bad if you get a light calorie dressing... but if you get crispy chicken with regular dressing you might as well have a Big Mac.

I've never had a McDonalds Salad. Does it have dressing? The fat could be in that.

The Fat isn't in the SALAD. It's in all the junk they put on it. Salad Dressing, Chicken, Croutons...

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

the fat would have to be in the chicken if thats what the salad includes.. but otherwise you might be mistaking it for the calories in the dressings.

they could be, be careful with your dressing determination and how lots you employ. bypass with grilled chicken. stay removed from the a number of salad alternatives all together. persist with backyard or cobb. ward off 1st Baron Verulam/ranch/cheese/croutons/chips all those issues upload energy.
