Yes...studies have shown that breakfast is the most important meal of the day for your body to function to it's fullest...but most people can't eat or don't feel to eat when they just wake up...me on the other hand...i love to eat my breakfast and have to or i will feel sick if i dont. When you eat the right things, like cereal...maybe a little fruit and some protein(eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.)...it gives you that boost of energy that you need. So it is very healthy and highly recommended to eat breakfast...bon apetite...lol

I don't know that it makes much difference if you eat right when you get up or soon there after. The important thing is that you do eat breakfast because it jumpstarts your metabolism for the day. If you don't have breakfast, your body will start the day with a low baseline metabolic rate. Eating breakfast sets that rate higher so that it burns more calories during the day.

I can't eat right away. I get sick if I do. I have to wait a couple of hours after waking up before I eat.

Yes it is, or shortly there after. Your body has been fasting while you sleep so your metablolism needs the fuel to jump start your day.
