Water that goes down a drain is not wasted, it goes back to a filtration plant so that it can be used again.

Why is not keeping the water running when you shave a liberal idea and why is it bad? Conservation of natural resources is a liberal agenda only because conservatives have allowed it to become that. Why do neocons have a kneejerk response to anything that a liberal says even if it is a good idea?
Conservatism is supposed to be about personal responsibility. Stewardship of the environment should be among those responsibilities that conservatism promotes. It is only because neocons are in bed with big business and big polluters that environmentalism is given a bad name by them. An open and honest discussion about the real issues and the possible solutions would be beneficial to the American people. Even if you do not believe there is global warming, that is no reason to pillage the earth needlessly.
RESPONSE TO YOUR ADDITIONAL COMMENT: Water goes down a drain and is not wasted? You need to educate yourself on the environment. Watersheds are destroyed by the human redirection and consumption of fresh water. Additionally, before that water goes down the drain, chemicals are added to it including chlorine which kills certain species of plants and animals but allows others to flourish further upsetting the ecosystem when it is returned to nature.

EDIT: It is simply IMPOSSIBLE to "debate" someone who has NO knowledge of the subject matter.
Water that "goes down the drain" took a great deal of electricity, labor, man hours to get to that faucet in your house. ALL THAT IS WASTED. Coal is burned (in most facilities) to generate electricity. How much additional particulates and pollution have you put into the atmosphere by untold additional power used in order that you can keep the faucet running? How about the electricity used to pump that water?
Water that goes down the drain has to be TREATED ALL OVER AGAIN. Additional LOAD at the treatment plant. Water that should NOT be going back.Electricity and power to TREAT the water all over again? for no reason whatsoever. And not 100% of it is completely recovered. It is gone forever. Evaporation, miniscule leaks multiplied by 300 million plus users and all that, you know.
It is just this "don't give a crap" attitude that has gotten us precisely in the mess we are in right now. Any fool knows not to waste water.
Water is life.

Nope. I see you have been interpreting the morass of propaganda that PG&E and Texas oil businesses have started sending out, attempting to defeat AB32. Why do you assume they could prefer to do this? It hasn't killed jobs on account that 2006 while it replaced into exceeded. Factories have not relocated; in certainty, extra sparkling power jobs and factories have been created as a results of the invoice.
