I have a huge blank wall with really nothing on it. I had this great idea of starching fabric of silloutes of people to it, but I don't want it to leave behind a mess when i take it down in a year or two (i rent). Have you ever done this before and know if it does leave a residue? do colors bleed onto the walls? is it easy to clean?

Do you have any other ideas of what i could do to display silloutes of ppl that wouldn't cost too much money??

Use sheets of posterboard, or use fabric just prewash before hand to prevent bleeding.. If you are really worried put a backing of muslin secured with a staple gun on the wall and trim it out with wood/fabric trim to hide the staples.... If it does bleed repaint the wall yourself... If you use wall paper paste you can remove it with vinegar/hot water or liquid fabric softner and hot water....
