This is called irresponsible ownership.

The female is in heat and you have a male (nuetered or not) that is just acting the part of a male.

Next - the owner of the Chihauha should start to worry a little AS the owner could be looking at an expensive C-section in about 62 days. BECAUSE the puppies could be too big for her to pass and she could possibly die.

While you seem to be worried about what these puppies will look like ===== Just hope these puppies don't look dead or deformed - as there may not be enough room for developement.

Ya'all got yourself a problem due to letting a male and female get together during this time..... how old are you???

Your male will continue to be crazy till she is no longer fertile. This lasts up to a week. He cant help it, its just natural.

You may want to keep your Vet aware of this, the puppies are going to be way too big for her to deliver, she most likely will need a c-section. If she tries to deliver a puppy it will get stuck, if this happens she could die as well as the puppy.

Count 63 days from the first time they were stuck (tied) together. This will be the due date. Please take her to the Vet for a check up in 30 days..(vet can feel puppies now) and again around day 58-60 for an xray.......the xray will determine how big the puppies are and if they need to do a c-section.

Check these sites out they are quite helpful:

If you are bringing him in to be neutered today, then the craziness will stop. Best of luck to you, and those puppies will probably look like long haired chihuahuas or maltepoos with huge ears..lol
either way they will be cute!!

You roommates dog and the puppies will be OK. There are many people who would want the puppies 2 months after they're born. The puppies will look pretty cool. They'll have the typical small dog look. Their hair won't be too long because the mom is a chihuahua. Your roommate could even sell them for like $200.00 each. If this is the mothers first time, she may only have 1 or 2.

Don't "abort" them. You'll be killing wonderful little dogs who have tons of potential to make great pets.

Males can think of nothing else when a female is in heat. They've been known to travel many miles to find the female or break through windows to get to her. Think about how your dog feels when she's in the same house. He certainly is being driven crazy.

You should have kept them seperated so they couldn't mate. But congrats on getting him neutered. He won't be driven crazy by females anymore, and will listen to you again. You can have the female chihuahua spayed now and then she won't have the babies that she might be pregnant with. It will be good for her health (chi's can't have learge babies), and it sounds like you don't really need a bunch of puppies anyway. Have the chi spayed!

Your male is acting normal but your roomate better have hr female checked there is a good chance the chi won't be able to deliver on her own and if she does try she and or the pups can die as they will more than likely be to big for her.
The c-section is extremely expensive and she may not even take care of the pups.
If your roommate would allow teh pups shoud be aborted.

Because that is what un-neutered males do. Mine loses weight and is a total @$$hole to live with when females are in heat. If I wasn't showing him, I'd have his jewels lopped off TODAY. As far as the female, I suggest spaying her NOW to avoid pups and the mess they can be. The size difference could kill her, and chihuahuas have a very difficult time giving birth in hte first place.

Hello people! If they hooked twice, it's obvious the female is in heat! He's found out what "it" is, so good luck trying to calm him down or get his attention. As far as getting him neutered 'today'.... you're 2 hooks too late!

Your room mate needs to get his female to the vet. With your dog being much larger, this pregnancy could very well kill her.

The Chihuahua is most likely in heat and your dog can smell it and gets aroused by it. Just keep them apart until your dog is neutered. Also they may still hook but it won't produce puppies. Good Luck I hope the dog isn't pregnant! She should be spayed too!
