There's nothing a girl hates more than when a guy says he'll call and then he doesn't. With modern technology, we aren't stuck waiting by the phone - we can carry it with us - but the disappointment is no less - it's greater because we know he's carrying a cell too, so he doesn't have the "wasn't near the phone" excuse. Anyway, my best friend (Sam) introduced me to an old friend of his (Josh) who is single again. Sam's been talking Josh up to me for weeks - about what a great, super nice guy he is. Josh, Sam and I went out for drinks and Josh and I seemed to hit it off pretty well. Josh and I planned to get together Thursday night, and when I spoke with Josh Tues. he said he'd call Wed. to finalize details. Guess what? He didn't call -- what gives? It makes women feel humiliated and rejected. If you're not going to call or follow through - don't say you will. I appreciate some insight here - I've been doing this too long to still be getting upset about it.

Because he's inconsiderate.

But it's a two-way street, dear! I've been blown off many times by females who promise to return a call or message!

Girls certainly do it too (not call when they say they will). I guess it means either he is not as interested in meeting up again (and unsure how to deal with that) or he really wants to be single and realises the more he talks to or goes out with you, the more something uncomfortable may develop. With girls, I use the TWO CHANCES rule. Even in this age of mobile cell phones anything can happen and it's possible with a flat battery, no service, no phone credit, being too shy, losing my number or being too busy to call (try working 16 hour shifts from 8am to midnight without a break then sleeping to do it all again!) Give him the benefit of the doubt and when a guy says he is going to call... don't EXPECT him to call, just do whatever you were going to do anyway and be surprised if he does call. This way, you wont be upset or disappointed!

It all depends on the guy. Maybe he was nervous. Maybe he realized he wasn't interested and didn't want to follow through. Or maybe he was testing to see if you would take initiative and call him instead. My current boyfriend wouldn't make the first call after we first met because he wanted to see if I was interested enough in him to make the first move. I know it might be hard or make you nervous.embarrassed, but maybe try giving him a call and asking upfront why he didn't call. You deserve an answer!

He’s a guy not a woman. LMAO seriously. Guys forget allot of things, and are not picky on times. If he doesn’t call right away, or around that time, give it a couple days. Id say if there is no call in a few days, confront the guy and find out if there is an issue, if you should not hold your breath.

real, at situations i'm getting jealous whilst my lady pal mentions a guy in a mag or band is "warm". I easily have the urge to insult something approximately him. even nevertheless I believe her a hundred%, i assume that is all interior the genes.

having expectations of others is a set up for a big let down.

guys have said they'd call girls since the invention of the telephone... sometimes they don't.

waiting for someone to call, is interfering with your regular life... just go about your business. if someone calls, and they are lucky enough to get to talk to you, good.. otherwise, it's not worth waiting around.

so next tme a guy says he will call, just take it with a grain of salt... who cares if he does anyway? those who don't probably aren't worth talking to.

take care.

I'll admit that I am guilty of this, but it was only one time. However, I wasn't able to call my gf which was the worst part...

he probably didn't call because he wasn't really interested. either that or he has no reliability in which case you're better off anyway.
