Very salient point.
I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours. ~Stephen Roberts

A Muslim made this point earlier, he said Atheists were halfway there by denying the existence of all the other deitys. I didnt read the other 5 paragraphs of his answer.

Anyone who believes in any god(s) at all is considered athiest then because they reject whatever it is that isn't included in their specific religion.
it's my personal belief that if you don't consider all to be a possibility then you're kdding yourself. You don't know. Period.
However, athiests believe there is 'no' god or higher power at all. So yeah, Monotheists aren't athiests.

This is actually very well put. Sadly the followers of a God who preaches open-mindedness and acceptance, tend to not be either.

Cheap semantics.
The biggest gap is between 1 and 0. It's the one god that makes the difference.
