This is a good question. I don't put all of my eggs in the same basket anymore. The reason is not to be closed minded, our society today wants people to act and be like sheep. I personally believe in the Alpha theory, there are leaders and there are followers and copycats that can't think for themselves. What I am referring too is this: If you are learning from your mistakes what to do, and what not to do your going to be ahead of the game. I have asked my parents for advice to find out they themselves were out of touch in all sorts of different areas, but closely related in similar thinking in others. Close friends, well maybe, but with a trendy reason to hear what I want to hear, that is so typical of friendships. Acquaintances, probably not until proven respect is earned. Higher power is from the heart, and the best option, if I use all of my resources available, I can do the footwork and research the best information to come up with the best viable solution regardless of my personal feelings, and or attitudes.

I seek all my guidance from a superior being - specifically, the Most High God. I have found his wisdom to be far superior, far more dependable, perfectly altruistic and far more beneficial to me as respects my immediate needs and all those of the future. And it's free. When I follow it, I come out the beneficiary every single time.

I admit it, it's my mom.

Why? She's a strong lady and I've seen her get through things I can't imagine surviving. We don't believe everything the same way, but I can't think of a better source of guidance.

My pastor observed that many of the those that got here to church would concentration extra on the subject concerns, how somebody acted, a conceited on something. He did a sermon that began with him drawing a dot on a white board. He suggested that in case you come back to church and not concentration on why you're coming to church (worshiping God) and concentration on issues, you at the instant are not doing what you're think to. it truly is like focusing on the dot on the board. It bothers you lots which you won't have the ability to communicate what you should be doing. I agree that maximum individuals become busy bodies. like the pharisee that shouts to the completed city, seem at me, i'm pious and going to church. you should discover a Bible base church. one that teaches today from the Bible and is relatives orientated. Grace community church homes, like what John MacArthur teaches. If something, seem for one that has extra then church centers. decide for the Bible examine. you will learn extra and get to correctly known different faith believers. i'm going to signify to not pass to a church that believes in speaking in tongues. To me, it truly is complicated and not person-friendly to understand. that is not for each individual. yet once you sense deliver approximately pass that path, it truly is as much as you. decide for a church that feeds your spirit and data.

I seek guidance from Jehovah the and one and ONLY true God. I also do so with family. The Bible says that there is wisdom in counsel.

I don't find that I need much guidance because I depend on my own reason and conscience for that, but I lean on my family, close friends and acquaintences for love and support in hard times.

Myself.

I'm an adult. Advice is over-rated -- I think for myself. My life is in my hands to do with as I see fit; I take responsibility for it. I need my own answers . . . not somebody elses. In the final analysis, we make up our own minds despite the advice we solicit or receive. If you trust others more than yourself, what kind of statement are you making?

This is not to say you can't lead yourself astray. We all make mistakes. I just maintain that I'd rather make my own mistakes instead of the mistakes of others.

As Cat Stevens said in "Father and Son" . . .

If they were right
I'd agree
But it's them they know
Not me

It would be the Lord God - because His ways are higher than mine...He is able to do above and beyond all that I ask and think.
