Yes, in a move to promote brotherhood among all Christians by declaring all other christian churches "wounded," the Pope asserted his authority over all Christians. You guys don't mind do you? Being subject to the new Pope's good judgement? Thanks.

*Cough*Pope is a made-up position to help keep power. He's not in the Bible. Catholics are the only people who believe he has any power. *Cough* Did I say that aloud?

i'm a Catholic. One time I went to a Baptist service and the preacher or minister began bashing the Catholic Church and Catholics oftentimes. i've got in no way heard monks do this to non-Catholic Christians for the time of the Mass. i think of it incredibly is according to hazard because of the fact Catholics have a extra effective sense of the sacred vs. the profane... the Mass is the time to motivate the individuals and boost the dominion interior the hearts of the truthful, no longer convey them right down to earthly divisions and conflicts. additionally, even in a number of those responses there seems to be a lot contradiction... some people say that the situation with the Church is that it particularly is antiquated and could't shop up with the situations. Others say that the Church variations in spite of it needs, every time it needs. of direction, neither is actual. they are the two in basic terms 2 extremes of a chuffed medium which has allowed the Church to thrive (nonetheless, admittedly, no longer devoid of its share of problems using human weak point) for its 2000-12 months life.

I always thought that Christ was the head of the church and not man. Since this is what the Bible says, I'll stick with Jesus and let the Pope continue to make himself look stupid, while damaging the image of the Catholic church at the same time.

No, I'm not thrilled over his words.
The Pope has no authority over me.
I am not subject to anything he has to say.
I'm a Christian, and I could care less what the Pope has to say.
I answer to God.

Have a good day, now!
Remember that YOUR church is no better than any other church. We respect one another's beliefs. That is the way it should be, at least.

Well since the pope is evil to begin with...just kidding. I don't think that will change anything with my church.

I don't mind at all since I don't believe in your religion or "pope". I would say that his assertions are nothing new. Your "church" has always had this opinion, even when they were collaborating with the Nazis. Yeah...you should be proud.

Actually, this wasn't a new statement - it was a reiteration of what the Church had already declared.
