I believe it speaks of false teachers within the church

i would say false teachers, or might be because some people are not teachers in the church but those who go to church just on Sunday but then live however they want to. or how you have so many people these days when church talks about 10 percent they get mad and say the Bible does not say that. and just live how they want to not how the Bible tells us to.
also on tithes first tithes means a tenth. the Bible does say we need to tithe. then we are supposed to do 5 percent offering. it does not talk about that as well. then whatever after that we feel we should give. and also noted this is kind being that new test. they gave everything. we dont do that extream anymore. we can still keep our car and house. but they gave it all. so when you give your ten or 15 percent or more. and think i dont need to give this. there is a lot that that money pays for. and second remember you get to still keep some of it. and rememeber it all belongs to God.

The apostate teachers are "doubly dead" signifying that they once were believers in Christ. But now they are false teachers for they have severed their union with Christ and passed out of life back into death ( Luke 8:13).

These ungodly men are mentioned in verse 4 who turn the grace of God into licentiousness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
