I'm going away for the weekend and I wanted to know how to transfer my calls. I saw it in a movie and it's where if someone calls my house the call will go to my cell phone instead. Does anyone know how to do that?

you must subscribe to the call fowarding feature from your local phone provider... it may already be included in the phone package that you pay for now...

1. Lift your telephone's receiver and listen for a dial tone.

2. Press * 7 2.
In some areas you must use 7 2#*
Dial 1172 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.

3. At the tone, dial the telephone number where you want your calls transferred.
You will hear the number you entered ring. When the number is answered, Call Forwarding is activated.

4. If the call is not answered or the line is busy, hang up and call the number again within two minutes.
You will hear two short tones telling you that Call Forwarding is activated.

5. Hang up the receiver.

Deactivating Call Forwarding

Turn Call Forwarding off when you want to receive calls on your home phone.

1. Lift your telephone's receiver and listen for a dial tone.

2. Press * 7 3.
In some areas you must use 7 3#*
Dial 1173 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.

3. Listen for two short tones.
Call Forwarding is now off and you will receive your calls at your home number.

You need "call forwarding" service from your telephone carrier. This is an added cost option that many feel is well worth the cost. With this feature you dial in a code to initiate call forward and the phone number to which you wish to have the calls forwarded. Until you alter this, all inbound calls will be forwarded to the identified number. You can cancel the call forward or change it to a new number if you wish. Most residential packages require the initiation, cancellation, and change to be done from the home phone and some offer the ability to initiate, cancel, and change from any phone with an ID and password. Some telephone companys even allow the initiation, cancellation, and change over the internet.

Check with your carrier.
