I going from Providence RI to 420 Lexington Ave New York, NY 10170 how do i get there by train or bus.

Peter Pan services New York City from either Kennedy Plaza or the Bonanza Terminal. Greyhound also leaves from Kennedy Plaza. The bus takes you to the Port Authority on 8th Avenue and 42nd Street.

You can also take Amtrak from the station on Gaspe street. This takes you to 7th-8th avenue and 34th street (depending what side you get out).

If you have luggage and especially if you don't know the city I'd recommend taking a taxi to your destination as it's not too far and shouldn't cost too much.

There are actually about a half-dozen train station in the United States known as Penn Station. The reason is at one point the Pennsylvania Railroad was a large railroad in the east, and Penn Station would be the station that the Pennsylvania Railroad used while another railroad would use another station. The main Amtrak station in Manhattan is called Penn Station, it is under Madison Square Garden. There is also a Penn Station in Newark. It's usually referred to as Newark Penn Station to distinguish it from New York Penn Station which is only 12 miles away. There is also a Penn Station in Baltimore. Most of the other Penn Stations have been renamed.

you can take amtrak from providence ri to nyc. when you get to nyc you will be in penn station. at penn station take the 1, 2 or 3 train uptown 1 stop to times square. take the shuttle train to the east side (grand central station). lexington ave is a block away

it depends really, train is more expensive but is faster and the bus is cheaper but is slower i would personally take the train from Connecticut. its about a 20-30 min. drive from provi and the train is a very short ride as well
