Well, I've gotten to be best of friends with that person through the years. Everybody has things about themselves they like and dislike. I have found that what others see in me is what I tell them. They usually don't spend the time to figure it out themselves. So you spend time thinking about what you will tell others about the person you are in words, deeds, manners and dress. If they already have another image of you based on the past it can take time, but it will change.

Now I like the man in the mirror. Long ago I had to ask him to change his ways -- so now there is no contentious conscience with which to compare myself.
That which I am is precisely what others get from me. I don't see much more change on the horizon -- but that in and of itself may change.

I like the PERSON well enough, but not the view in the mirror. Too fat, too much gray in the hair and wrinkles in the skin, lousy teeth, and there's another gray bristle to pluck from your chin, you old crone!
Still, there are times when there's a twinkle in her eye, or a look of serenity, wisdom, even a kind of beauty. She's a good old gal, for all her flaws.

…Most do, some don’t. The Bible says we focus way too much on ourselves, and we need to love and serve others. Strange thing is we all love ourselves, although we may not like ourselves (whichever way it is still self-focus).
**
…Matthew 22:35-40 – the greatest commandments:
35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
**
1. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength
2. Love your neighbor as you already do love yourself
**
==> Here are two commands – what two? And there is no command to love yourself here – we already do – it is assumed in Scripture.
**
…Self-love is touted as something to work at and strive for, when, in fact, it is entirely contrary to Scripture, observe 2 Timothy 3:1-5 -
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
**
==> (Notice verse 2 – self-love tops this list of sinful behavior)
**
…You say you hate yourself? God says different, observe Ephesians 5:29:
===> For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the church,
**
…What is the right attitude to have toward others? Look at Phillippians 2:3-4 –
**
3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;
4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
**
...Think about it - isn't it true that those who love and serve others are really the happiest people on Earth?
**
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
Acts 16:31
...Whosoever will, may come.

No. Everyone feels their flaws, whether they vome to terms with them or not. I personally have a million and 10 different things I want to change. I likemy personality and in the long run , that is most important.
