The word breakfast is a two part work break and fast. When you eat breakfast, you are breaking a fast. A fast that you went on from the last time that you had eaten dinner. It is good for your health because it will help you get through the day and keep your thoughts clear and your mind sharp. If you are dieting, it is a plus to eat a good breakfast because your body will know to start burning those calories. If you do not eat breakfast and dieting, your body will ot burn off those calories and try to hold on to all that you hav put in it. That is why so many people say that they went on a diet and could not or had a hard time loosing weght.

breakfast is important because depending on the time of your last meal your body has digested that and sent it through your body as energy while you were resting/sleeping. Therefore you may not have a meal on your stomach for about 8-10 hours. You need the breakfast to kickstart your body with food

Your body hasn't had any food all night. "If we skip breakfast, we are likely to become tired when our brains and bodies run low on fuel. By mid-morning, a lot of us grab a cup of coffee or wolf down a sugary candy bar to wake up again. This might work for a few minutes, but by lunch time we are hungry, crabby, and perhaps our mood might make us a little more prone to making unhealthy choices at lunch. Eating a good breakfast sets the tone for the rest of the day."

Myth.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

Even if one is trying to lose weight, one should not skip breakfast. Only it should consist of low fat, low sugar items. Apart from giving energy, it gives something to work for the stomach that is secreting juices coz of hunger. If we take nothing, the juices act on the lining of the stomach, creating problems like Acid Peptic Disorders (APD). Same is true in the day also, to a lesser extent.

actually it helps your body from going into starvation mode and storing food. You should eat breakfast so that your mind and body functions better but also to keep the body you have. Also remember to eat at least three times a day even if they are small meals because you don't want your body to start storing food.

it gets your metabolism pumping! apparently, you are in a 'fasting' mode while you are sleeping. so breakfast (breaking the fast! ) is to give your body the required energy to start your day as well. also, a satisfying breakfast can prevent you from overeating at noon or any later part of the day.

Simple. Your body needs energy to function at its best. Food gives you energy. When you wake up, your body has already processed the energy that the food from the day before has given you. Thus, eating food early in the day is a big boost to your body's energy and health. Otherwise, your body is not able to function at its full potential for lack of energy and nutrition.

Jump starts your metabolism that tends to be sluggish when you first get moving. So you burn a few more calories. Plus tends to keep you from getting so hungry, that you stuff yourself at lunch! (but only if you eat a reasonable breakfast-not 4 krispy kremes)
