Encourage them with the award system mentioned by other users.
Don't give them very much liquid before bed.
Wake them up one time a night to go to the bathroom and then it will become a habit and they will do it by themselves.
With all of this combined things will work out.

Children can not control bed wetting. They can't help it, so just wait it out. She will outgrow it one day. Bed wetting is caused by several diff. things, but the most common is that the child sleeps too deep and they don't wake up at night when they need to go. I have a son about to turn 8 and he still wears his pull-ups at night. My 5 yr. old son has been wearing underwear at night since he was 2. All children are diff. and they will all grow and develop at diff. times. Be sure that your child knows they can't help this and that it is very common and it is nothing to be embaressed about. Good Luck!

stopping a child from wetting the bed is really hard.
encourage the child
but in the end the child will eventually grow out of wetting the bed - its just a matter of time before he stops naturally

Let him/her be. Wetting the bed at night is out of their control until their bladder catches up with their body. It's really hard to wake up at night to use the toilet.
Leave him/her in pull ups until this resolves on its own. The last thing you want to do is bribe, punish or embarrass a child for things out of their control. If you use a chart with prizes, he/she may feel they aren't good enough to earn the prize. It's really not a big deal, this is why they make goodnights.

Don't give anything to drink after 8 pm and make him/her use the bathroom before bed. That's a start to training the bladder.

you cant use the pull ups and let them outt grow it in time they will. the more you fuss and complain the harder it will be and the more embarrassed your child will be as well as the child will feel shame. its not like your child is 17 hes five. still very young his bladder and body just arent mature yet. leave it alone.

try using a reward chart with stickers & work out what ur 5yo really really wants & let him aim for that, increase the type of reward . start with needing 7 stickers for reward, then up it to 10 stickers etc. they will click eventually (worked for us), toilet b4 bed, they may need a nite lite for security & it encourages them to go by themselves o/nite. good luck
