I ve been dying my hair black now for the last 8 years and in the last 2 years I keep getting an allergic reaction everytime I do dye it. How can I still dye my hair but not let the dye touch my scalp???

The same thing happened to my Aunty. She had to stop dying her hair which sucks. I'm worried that the same thing might happen to me. Maybe have an allergy test or something to determine what chemical you could be allergic to. Then try and find a dye that doesn't have that certain chemical in it. I'd suggest you try organic hair dye. I've seen it around here occasionally, maybe you might be able to give it a go.
Did you feel any tingling or burning sensations when you previously dyed your hair?
Good luck, I wish you the best.

Try switching to a different hair dye. You might be reacting to something in that specific dye, so try a few. If you get the same reaction from all of them than you have two choices. Live with the reaction or stop dying your hair. I don't think there would be any way to prevent the dye from touching your scalp.

I would call the 800 number that is on the directions of the hair dye. They should be able to tell you the best thing to do. Maybe you can try a different brand. They have different chemicals in them. I know you can use vaseline at the hair line, but i dont know how you would get it over your entire scalp. Good luck.

You can't, not and get a good dye job.

You have to either try a different dye, or stop dying your hair.
