They also claim that Catholics were responsible for the assassination of President Lincoln, among others, and the sinking of the Titanic. I found all this in a booklet someone sent me and find the theories quite fascinating, if a bit implausible. I'd like to know who this group is. The booklet doesn't reveal their name, but gives a web address (www.endtime.net), which also does not give the name of the group. Who are they? All I can see from the literature is that they are Christians, albeit rather unusual ones from the theories!

This is the first I have heard about 9/11.

The anti-Catholic Chick Publications claims that the Catholic Church:
+ Started Islam
+ Instigated the American Civil War
+ Assassinated Abraham Lincoln
+ Formed the Ku Klux Klan
+ Was responsible for the Inquisition known as the WWII Jewish Holocaust
+ Keeps every Christian's name in a computer in order to make persecution easier

Here is a detailed rebuttal to Chick's tracks: http://www.catholic.com/library/sr_chick_tracts_p1.asp

They are probably just Christians who are thinking and not as naive as some of the American populace are. Is this why they are unusual ?

I went to their website and it appears that they are attributing a lot of infamous events to the Jesuits who have historically worked in behalf of the cause of the Roman Catholic church..

Instead of trying to find out who they are, why not investigate the information..

I can't say for sure who they are but I have an idea who they might be. I would say do some research. Don't be a surface skimmer like many people are.

Just because we sometimes find things implausible does not mean they are impossible.

I believe that true Christians are way ahead of the crowd in understanding what is going on in the world.

For example; Type northwoods into the Wikipedia search window and see what you find.

there'll constantly be people who do no longer know what they're speaking approximately. that includes people who think of that Catholics are actually not Christians. i'm neither myself, yet even i know that till the 1500's ALL Christians have been Catholics, and that Catholics are closer to Christ's teachings than the different Christians are. as a count of actuality, earlier than transformations made interior the 5 hundred's by ability of the Church fathers, Christianity shared some ideals in worry-unfastened with Hinduism and Buddhism. So it truly is totally probably that on the instant's Catholics have strayed from Christ's teachings, and the different Christians ... even greater effective removed from the unique. (i'm a Buddhist by ability of determination. I even have appeared into all the different religions in intensity).

Conspiracy theorists aside . .. since when is it a new thing to persecute JESUS CHRIST . .. The Catholic Church is the BODY OF CHRIST on Earth. .. As you do unto the least of JESUS' brethren you've done so unto JESUS.
