How many of these 10% are extremists?99%.
Ok, let's go to the other side…

It's the believes of the ORDINARY Muslims that no peace with Jewish what so ever. It's does NOT need an extremist to interpret the hate verses in the Koran as a hate verse.

Chapter 2:96: “And verily, you will find them (the Jews) the greediest of mankind for life and (even greedier) than those who – ascribe partners to Allâh (and do not believe in Resurrection - Magians, pagans, and idolaters, etc.). Every one of them wishes that he could be given a life of a thousand years. But the grant of such life will not save him even a little from (due) punishment. And Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.”

Chapter 2:105: “Neither those who disbelieve among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) nor Al-Mushrikûn (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh, idolaters, polytheists, pagans, etc.) like that there should be sent down unto you any good from your Lord. But Allâh chooses for His Mercy whom He wills. And Allâh is the Owner of Great Bounty.”

the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur'ân), then you would have against Allâh neither any Walî (protector or guardian) nor any helper.”

Chapter 2:142: “The fools (pagans, hypocrites, and Jews) among the people will say, "What has turned them (Muslims) from their Qiblah [prayer direction (towards Jerusalem)] to which they were used to face in prayer." Say, (O Muhammad) "To Allâh belong both, east and the west. He guides whom He wills to a Straight Way.”

Chapter 2:190: “And fight in the Way of Allâh those who fight you, but transgress not the limits. Truly, Allâh likes not the transgressors.” [This Verse is the first one that was revealed in connection with Jihâd, but it was supplemented by another verse (V.9: 36)].

Chapter 2:191: “And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah is worse than killing. And fight not with them at Al-Masjid-al-Harâm (the sanctuary at Makkah), unless they (first) fight you there. But if they attack you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.”

Chapter 5:41: “O Messenger (Muhammad SAW)! Let not those who hurry to fall into disbelief grieve you, of such who say: "We believe" with their mouths but their hearts have no faith. The Holy Quran Chapter 2 ( Sura Bakarah) verse # 96 says" : Thou wilt indeed find them, of all people, most greedy of life,-even more than the idolaters: Each one of them wishes He could be given a life of a thousand years: But the grant of such life will not save him from (due) punishment. For Allah sees well all that they do.

The above verse does not say that All Jews are greedy.

I don't believe that all Jews and Christians are bad. There are greedy people in every race and religion. The Bible is more violent.

Its a long topic that you have started. I would really like to answer each and everything you are saying (and I do have answers) but I am pressed for time. Most of the verses which you have written as supposed proofs of "violance" in Islam are proofs of the contrary.

At the moment I would just tell you that I am a Muslim. I do not hate Jews, or Christians, for that matter, as a race. They are humans and some of them are very good people while some are not (just like any other people). I might have a fundamental disagreement with their religious philosophy but that does not make me "hate" them. However, anyone who is a terrorist (to use modern day term), who targets people, who transgresses the boundaries for no reason, is a person worthy of disrespect and is possible to be resisted and stopped. Zionists (among Jews) are the people who, in their single minded aim for a land of their own, crushed Palestinians (incidentally Muslims) in a planned manner. I will not pretend and say I like this. This is unjust and inhuman and many of you guys also agree and support this. Just because Jews were victims of Hitler does not justify their making victimes out of other people.

You have quoted many verses of Quran (some correctly, others incorrectly) and mostly out of context. But do you know there are places in Quran where there have been nice things said about people of the book too (techincal term to desribe Christian and Jews)? I distinctly remember one instance in which it has been said that among Christians you would find people who are scholarly, who think and research and who pray to their God.

So please do not go about spreading hatred in the world, there is already too much. This is a most ignorant approach. If you want to read scriptures, try to read with the intention of understanding, not finding fault. However, if you do not want to have anything to do with religion then do not read them at all. But please do not misconstrue and misrepresent them for promoting your own ideas. This is an extremely irresponsible attitude. More so in modern times when the need for educated people is to understand rather than create confusions.

Dude... you've got some serious issues. I don't know where you get your statistics but you're wrong. Secdonly, I'm a "normal" Muslim and 9/11 was just terrible. Nobody was happy on that awful day. There were other conservative muslims out there that rejected it outright as well. That's not what islam teaches. Those people were innocent that died. If the terrorists thought otherwise then they were sick and twisted.

Lastly, perhaps you better study your islamic history before spouting off propaganda. Look into the context of the verses you've cut and pasted. You can find an introduction to the Surah on the http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/ website. If you really want to learn something then go LEARN and don't go in with your assumptions and judgements.

some brothers have already published the ayats to which Allah refers to Imams and their infallibility (the purification aya etc) in case you're surely searching for wisdom approximately this actual theory, i notably advise interpreting Imamate and management via Lari. It incorporates Quran verses and their rationalization. It tells you the logical attitude of the function of an Imam. Ofcourse there are issues interior the Quran that hint off the seen Imamate. case in point the word Imam (and phrases with the inspiration word of Imam) are suggested 12 situations interior the Quran. The Quran mentions some believer who provides zakaat for the period of their prayer, " it truly is God and His Messenger on my own who're you wali, and people who set up prayers and universal charity and bow down humbly in worshipi (5:fifty six) and there is in elementary terms individual interior the background of the international that did so, Imam Ali (AS) became in sajjdah, and a unfavorable guy got here up in the back of him, and Ali gave him his ring. From a Shia attitude the seen Imamate is everywhere in the Quran. case in point, interior the Quran is says "O believers, obey the commants of God, the Messenger and the Holders of Authority." If you're going to be religious, then be consistent. Your Koran is a book of hate, just like the Bible. If the word of God has but one flaw then it can't be the word of God. These books are holy spelled wholly repulsive, and so are the people who live by them. Fortunately most people just live by the parts they like. As bad as that is, it still keeps the number of terrorists down, for now. But, I expect that will change. Too bad. But, then again humanity is like a cancer upon this planet, and our time is short anyway.

Punter - Do you have to cut and paste your ideas? Are you lazy or just plain stupid?

As a Christian, the practices of the seven-mega Christians worldwide today are imperfect. Similarly, the practices of the Moslem faith is also imperfect. Spiritually speaking, these imperfections of the churches were deliberate divine acts because what is the being called is of the heart which can accept even the imperfections of other peoples as love makes them perfect . In comparison, if the mind is to rely on with the imperfections of men, it can not accept the imperfections of men as analytical methods in relationship makes them more imperfect. Moreover, satan the god of this world is the great deceiver of men and the great divider of men and brings men to anger, hatred, confusion, wars, terrorism, crimes, etc. THANKS GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD. Why don't you use your own mind to ask a question rather then copy and paste only bits and pieces of information to make Islam look bad? Is it because you have no Mind.
