if the Chinese could build a 2400 Kilometers wall in 214 BC, how come we can't build one in our present time. I think we have better reasons than the Chinese had at that time.

Make their country like the movie "Escape from New York". I agree! Keep the troops on the other side of the walls and shoot any and all that break through.
Close it off and no one in or out - flight drop provisions in different points each day. Let them kill themselves off. Those people have been warring tribes since the Egyptians were in power. They live for drama and cause as much as possible whenever possible. I wonder what they will have to hold over our heads when we go from oil to ethanol. Can't grow veggies in the dessert!

A check of history will reveal it didn't work then I doubt it would now.
