Nothing can exist for infinity. This is fact, as time is not infinite and nothing can exist outside of time.
Does this fact not go a long way towards disproving most people's definition of god?

J - Doesn't the fact that you have to bend the rules of physics to allow for god's existence give you a clue? P.S The Bible has been absolutely discredited.

People: My statements about time are not incorrect. Time began with the Big Bang. This is widely accepted as the most likely scenario amongst scientists.

John B - Thats a nice theory but has no basis in physics. We know that we cannot have time without physical matter/energy.

God created time and space.............these concepts are not an obstacle to Him....
You say.......: My statements about time are not incorrect. Time began with the Big Bang. This is widely accepted as the most likely scenario amongst scientists.
Are you aware that "big bang" theorists claim that ALL matter.....everything there is out there all across all galaxies, universes....the entire cosmos ...............all this matter came from a highly compressed point of matter about the size of the head of a pin.
Wow............if you believe that, you have a lot more faith than mant Christians.
You should rethink you stand before God calls you home, my friend

NOTHING you can say or do can disprove the fact that God exists. Just because he's not real to you, doesn't mean he's not real. I'm sure there are a lot of things even on this planet that no one has discovered yet. It doesn't mean they aren't real. For some reason, he's chosen not to allow you to discover him yet - maybe it's because he knows your "logic" would get in the way.
As for the validity of the Bible, read this fairly recent article from the London Telegraph - the headline is "Tiny Tablet Provides Proof for Old Testament" - yet another piece of archaeology that proves the validity of a piece of the Bible...

Plus, you have to know, just logically, that there's something to this Bible thing. Do you really think it would be the most widely-read document of all time if there weren't something to it? When you look at the surface of the Bible, you can immediately see inconsistencies - they are quite easy to spot. But when you dig deeper, like into some of the original text (Hebrew, Chaldee, Greek) and you start to put the pieces of the Bible together (just like the one above), you see more and more that the Bible is the 100% true infallible word of God. I have yet to have anyone show me an inconsistency that I can't eventually understand and explain. Most I can explain on the spot.
Maybe it's just easier to not believe in a God, because then you'd have to be accountable to him? I pray, right now, that someday your eyes will be opened.
Oh, and on the time thing - it's a dimension that is only pertinent to humans. The Bible says that God doesn't see or count time like we do. Time is finite to us.

Can you produce evidence that nothing can exist for an infinite amount of time? What established the fact that time is not infinite? How do we know that nothing can exist outside of time?
Your whole question is based on your own intuitive prejudices.
Unfortunately it is impossible to prove that something does not exist, only that we as individuals have not experienced, encountered measured, seen or otherwise been in contact with that something.
I can accept the fact that things may exist of which I have no experience or knowledge. That does not mean that they do exist, only that they may exist. I cannot prove that God does not exist and I must accept that he may exist but since I have no experience of God I can only accept the possibility and not the claims for a reality that some make using equally subjective criteria.

I do believe in the Big Bank theory, but.... something must have started the ball rolling.
If you have ever seen Futurama, God is a super computer in space, and remember what HE says:
"If you do things right, people don't think you did anything at all"- GOD (Futurama)
Makes a lot of sense even for a cartoon....

No. Nothing can exist for eternity? Fact? Go back to the end of the line.
Better yet, get your cap on and take your seat in the corner.

The god concept is a fictional entity which only exists within the boundaries of human imagination.
if the human species disappears for some reason, the God concept will disappear with us.
on the other hand, if the human species evolves a little further, to greater levels of intelligence, the God concept will be gone too.

My number in heaven will be available for eternity when you reach your eternity in hell, you can call me any time. have you ever read the verses in the Bible about the rich man that wouldn't even give bread crumbs to the begging poor at the city gate and he died and went to hell and wanted to tell all of his family left on earth how horrible hell actually was, but it was too late ????????????????/ Do you think your mere immortal human mind can out think God, Go ahead with your arrogance if you choose because our time on earth is but a whisp of time compared infinity/eternity. God doesn't have a concept of time like humans. Think outside the box or maybe outside your current brain mode.

Well I can't say that makes any sense. First off time is infinite. Human perception of time is finite. Secondly if anything were able to exist outside of time we wouldn't necessarily be able to perceive it. so how can you say for certain nothing can exist outside of time? I would love to see where these facts come from.

Energy can be neither created nor destroyed, only changed. In that way, at least something will exist eternally in one form or another.
