I have been through phases.
At one time I was very religious and consumed with my church life. Yet, I was drawn to the most gothic guy I'd ever met.
We were a great couple we had balance and our relationship flourish. We were together 3 wonderful years!!!
On the other hand I was also with a man who seemed to be so in tune with me. Nevertheless once we started dating, he no longer liked my friendly ways and my girls nights out. He was a homebody who didn't like social interation. Not to mention he was catholic, I was baptist. He was a "realist" and I was an optimist. We had different parenting beliefs, and morals too. We were together on and off for two years.
I believe opposites attract and it can be wonderful to have that balance. To be with someone who you can have intellectual conversation and argue both points of view.
I say give it a chance. You only live once!! Good Luck!!

Opposites do attract one another if there is feelings for one another's differences, etc. Just because you smoke doesn't mean anything, you swear and you haven't heard him swear...well I'm sure all religious people swear in their own way. If you like him and he likes you then you can both make acceptions if you/s have to. But it works two ways remember that. I have dated someone very different to me, he didn't like anything or anyone. But well it didn't last but it doesn't mean it won't last for you. You never know until you try right? Well that's all i've got for now, so i hope things work out for you :)

You never know before you try. Come on girl, make a move! Otherwise you will regret it forever. And at least you will be able to get on with your life. If he rejects you- well, you will suffer, it will hurt - but at least you will know, and won't spend nights crying about him for the next couple of years.
Make a move I say (but a clever one, don't rush into it without carefull plan!) good luck!

Not a chance if he is religious. It would be a constant thrn in both of your sides. He would hate the things that you do, and you would hate him telling you that you need to change.
