When my children switch on their PS2, they can't get it past the browser/configuration screen. It had been working previously but not now. We've tried all sorts, going into setup etc doesn't make any difference. Help!

yeah thers two ways round this u can undo your ps2 and clean the lens manually or your laser might have gone in which case you can buy of ebay for like 10 pound and fit them ,this can be tricky at first but once youv done it once youll be fine,or may be you can buy a dvd lens cleaner and run it through your ps2 ,hope this helps good luck

There are no differences besides the colour. If there were differences there would probably be a difference in the price. They were released at different times but i don't think anyone cares. I reckon silver looks a bit try hard though. That could be a difference.

the inside might be dusty so spray it with airduster. Then clean the Games cd.. the reader might be broken, you might have to send it in to sony to get it fixed.
Also, call the number as said before, they could help you even more.
