I'm pretty sure you will be unable to obtain this information on former officers because of privacy considerations. That said, in Illinois the information on all police officers is kept at the Illinois State Police Records Department. So here's the link for the Iowa Department of Public Safety ( http://www.dps.state.ia.us/ISP/ ). Good luck.

Regarding fallen law enforcement officers........there is a web site that has a list of all fallen officers, that link is here: http://www.odmp.org/

Hope this helps

I think retired Police want to remain anonymous. If your desire to locate a particular person is not honorable, I'd like to remind you that a 2 year old Federal law allows retired Police, Deputies, Prison guards, military the right to carry a concealed firearm. I would bet most have taken advantage of that law. I have.

You won't. Current and/or former law enforcement personnel are VERY private people, for good reason - we don't want someone "looking us up" to settle a score or something!

Your only possibility would be if you KNOW someone in law enforcement who could (or would) make inquiries on your behalf. Otherwise, fuhgeddaboutit.
