Formal meals at my college are preceded with the grace "Benedictus, Benedicat".
Grace is a good idea. People should realize that the appearance of food on their tables is not a given and that for many people it's a rarity. If you don't thank god (and I don't), I am always grateful that I am in the circumstances I am in, and not forced to go hungry.

We all say Grace in many ways It al depends on how The Holy Spirit moves us. We and Christians do not belive in speakeing to God in Format however Praising and Glorifying God The Father and Jesus Christ and Lord and savior is very Important when ever we are in Prayer

Fast, if I'm hungry.
We don't have a particular prayer we recite. We just pray. Some people tend to go on and on in their prayers, which we all should do at times, but I don't think it's proper at dinner time. People are hungry, and long prayers make them less than thankful.

I put my fingers thru each other and then bow my head, I do this for when we have a family meal. At my meetings for worship my mom and I hold hands during the prayer that is being said to start and then end the meeting for worship.

This is a sound byte but you get the idea:
Thank you Lord, bless the hands that prepared this Twinkie™. We are forever grateful and humble to share in your glory by eating this delicious Twinkie™. In Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen.

a simple prayer,
saying thanks,
asking for others to be blessed that are less fortunate.
i really dont have a specific prayer, each time is quite different, and ofcourse i say it in the name of his son Jesus Christ.

Oh, great flying spaghetti monster,
shallow be thy bowl,
we will be eatin,
thy will be eatin,
in the living room as at the table,
give me a beer,
and some garlic bread,
and forgive us for spilling
as we forgive those who chew with their mouth open,
for thine is the garlic,
the salt,
and the pepper
RAmen.

It is a simple prayer to God for our food.
It does not have to be formal...and especially should not be the same set of words each time.
But should be for each meal.

By being sincere. I don't believe in making prayer at dinnertime a routine.
