I have the receit with me with the amount of $63.00 and on my statement says they taken out $83.00, my bank gave me back that $20.00, but Im thinking of reporting this to some kind of Fraud Authourity, cause I'm sure that they've been doing this and probably will do it again to someone else..

That happened to me once, but I used a credit card. I got the entire bill refunded, and you can bet the restaurant manager heard about it (and ate that bill, no pun intended).

So, you've already done what you should do.

You should first report it to the bar or restaurant manager or owner. I am sure you will get results and the wait person or bartender will get reprimanded in some way . If this does not work then report them to the better business beareu. Another thing if this is a local hangout for you and friends make sure they check their receipts also. Usually when things like this happen it is not intentional. Good catch on the bill though.

When you contacted the bank to get the $20 back, they had you sign a form disputing the amount. That form IS a fraud report. You can bet the bank's fraud investigators have already looked into the case.

I travel a lot in my work and have had that happen several times. A call to the restaurant manager usually got satisfaction, often a refund of the entire bill. It's usually the wait staff that pulls that stunt, not management.
