The rate of hair growth is anywhere from around 1/4 of an inch per month to 2 inches per month - 1/2 an inch per month is the average. So it really depends on the rate of your hair growth, but I'd say about 6-8 months for the fringe, and about 6-7 months for the side and back.

Hair grows a half inch a month. So for 3 inches, it will be 6 months; 4 inches will take 8 months; 3 and a half inches will be 7 months.

i heard hair grew either 1/4 of an inch a month or 1/2 an inch depending on the person, so for 3 inches it would take 6 months to a year....

Well, It takes time to grow hair. your hair grows about well..... every few hours
