LOL. Christians don't wear the cross because Jesus died upon it, but because Constantine the Great turned it into the symbol of Christianity (borrowing it from the Sun symbol of course).

It's possible.
The cross isn't the only symbol used in Christianity though. In the early church, in fact, it wasn't a very common symbol used. Many more commonplace symbols were used, often ones that only Christians recognized to avoid persecution during the early days of the Church. Some of them include...
Anchor: an anchor, which has the shape of a cross as a part of its natural shape, stood for a few things, including our firm trust in the Lord, and as a reminder of the duty of the Evangelical apostles, who would become "fishers of men"
Fish: still in use today, obviously
Shepherd/sheep/shepherds crook: these were all symbols of Christ as our Savior and Good Shepherd.
There were and are many others used in Christianity. So really its hard to say what the most common symbol of Christianity would be. Good question!

Despite your sarcastic intentions, that's actually not a bad question. There are some Christians who see all the crosses in churches as idols... but if we are right-minded about the cross, we see it as a symbol of the sacrifice God, in the person of Jesus Christ, made for us, and worship Him and not the cross itself. The cross is not holy, the Son of God who was crucified on it is.
I suppose if Jesus were shot instead of crucified, we'd use the gun as our symbol, or the bullet. It wouldn't change the point of the image though, which is to remember the sacrifice your God made on your behalf.

I don't see why not. If you think about it the cross really was like a symbol of just getting crucified in Jesus day. But then again if Jesus was killed by a gun were would he be shot to die? can't break one of his bones so yea...

And yet, many are in denial. i'm going to respond to your question and it truly is a substantial fat NO! Jesus would have not something to do with any pagan image! So, there you have it. fake teachings, from fake faith.
