Good question, but you are thinking we are the only one in the universe, but if you look at the first chapter of job. it said that Satan came to God with the ambassadors from other worlds ,and the higher strength telescopes we get the more galaxies we find, sounds pretty busy to me.

The Earth was involved in one of the Beginnings.
There were 3 Beginnings.
:)
The Earth was restored. The correct translation in Genesis is Restored.
Satan had partied hardy with the Fallen Angels and the dinosaurs.
Made a mess of the planet .
"TOW-HOO-WAH-BO-HOO".
The Earth was packed in Ice as demons cannot get through ICE.
The planet was RESTORED >
The planet had been created billions and billions of years ago by Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ held the world together by the power of his WORD when he came in hydrostatic union.
Are you kidding about the Nap?
Have you looked at the Middle East or the weather????
Scripture says the Rapture is imminent.
I believe that the USA is protected by the DOCTRINE of the Shield.
Revelation tapes are available for FREE .
National deliverance tapes are available for FREE
Prophecy of the Middle East tapes are available for FREE.]

well, since God is an omnipotent force in the universe and therefore outside the parameters of time, its easiest to think of His existence as a Mobius strip.
You know, those little things you made in sixth grade science? They are simply a strip of paper taped together at the ends in a loop, but twisted one over so if you were to travel on it, it would go on forever.
Anyway, His existence never started, and never ended. It just keeps going and going and will do so forever.
And He never told us what He was doing in that time, so I can't answer that part of the question.
Yeah, its a hard concept (in fact, its impossible for human reason to explain or understand fully) but then again, thats what makes Him God and us humans, right?

Betty,
Time is a man made construct. We have an objective way of measuring it and yes it passes in the natural world but humans see time as important somehow. Animals breathe, eat, sleep and reproduce without worrying about what time it is (unless they're late for tea I suppose).
Since time is applied to our world then it only defines our world. God doesn't exist waiting for Armageddon; He exists at all times in all places. He is creating, rebuking, loving and recreating the world at every moment but we only see what is going on through our small window that time allows us.
God is acting in the world at this very moment. He has had things planned for you since before He created Eve. He knew that we would fail Him and He knew that He would have to die to prove His love for us. He does love you, He longs for you to love Him in return. But that’s why we are given free will, so that we can choose.
Might I suggest that you add a question in the philosophy section on the constructs of time and their meanings to humanity to increase the scope of your question?
God Bless.

There are no seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, or millenia in eternity. There is just being.
This verse illustrates what God is doing right now. I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? Luke 12:49 King James bible
His spirit is reproving the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.

God is outside of time, beyond it. Time is part of the universe he created... its "fourth dimension." God simply *is*. He had no beginning and will have no end. It's not a matter of was and will be with God, He just IS. Time is our problem.
Imagine the universe of space and time as a sphere in God's hand. That's not literally true, but it'll help you to "get it." Everything that exists for us including the time it all takes to exist is something God created all at once. He is beyond it all. That's also how God can give us free will and still know how everything turns out. God sees all of time at once, like looking down on a train track from high above, while we travel over the track one foot at a time.

He creates worlds and people without end. I think creating the universe takes time. But then I could be wrong.
And He isn't napping. He is organizing those who listen to Him and preparing the salvation of the world.

Romans 1:21-23 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain
21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

He invented time as a way to help us organize our lives on Earth. Time is irrelevant to God.

Well, if God exists, which I believe He does, then He exists outside of time. So basically, there is no time with God. It's a tough concept, especially when our entire existence depends upon time.
And I don't believe He's asleep, either.
