I don't know what they're called either, but they're great fun.
1.Take a square of paper and fold in half one way, open up and fold in half the other to mark the centre point.
2. Open up again and this time fold in all the corner points to the centre.
3. Turn the whole thing over and again turn in the new points to the centre.
4. Find the outside flaps now created, insert your fingers and the thing will fold up like a lily flower.
Write your numbers etc. on the flaps and you're ready to go

I've never seen a template, but it's easy to make.

1. Take a square piece of paper
2. Fold in half, making a crease. Open out, and fold in half the other way so that you can see where the middle is then open out again.
3. Fold all 4 corners into the middle
4. Turn the folded piece of paper over
5. Fold all 4 corners into the middle
6. Write the numbers 1 - 8 on the 4 triangle flaps (1 on each side of each triangle)
7. Open each flap in turn to write your word or message on the underside of the flap so that each number relates to a word. Fold the flap back down once your word is written.
8. On the other side of the puzzle you will have 4 squares, Write the colours red, blue, yellow and green on the four squares.
9. You now place your forefingers and thumbs under each square flap, and it should fold inwards.

You are now ready to play
