Ok here it goes im just confused on what kind of jacket or crown to put on my tooth. Im 17 now. OK! When i was 12 yrs old my front tooth got broke(it changed its shape it looks like a letter V) because of an accident i had while riding a bike. I was devastated i immediately went to a dentist(the dumb one) and the dentist recommended to put a porcelain crown on my broken tooth(which was not a perfect crown). Few years have passed it started to smell and look bad it dramatically changed its color and obviously i was conscious about it. When i was 15 i had braces to close the gap near the jacket 2 yrs later(which is NOW) i asked a dentist to get the jacket out. and now im just wondering what's the PERFECT and i mean PERFECT jacket/crown that suits my tooth that will never smell or change its color

P.S. Please help

It sounds like the nerve in the tooth under the crown has died, and the tooth turned dark. (This is very common after the type of accident you described.) You must have a porcelain jacket crown, which lets the natural color of your tooth show through, and the dark tooth makes it look like the crown changed color. Porcelain crowns don't dramatically change color on their own. The smell may be from a chronic abscess in the tooth which needs to be addressed as well.

Have your tooth examined by a dentist as a first step, and have xrays and vitality tests done. You probably will need a root canal on the tooth before any other treatment is done. If you already had a root canal done since the accident, it's still possible to get an infection.

After you get your tooth in as healthy a condition as possible, then you can get a new porcelain crown that will match your other teeth. It shouldn't change color or smell or taste bad over time!

You said yourself the porcelain crown the dumb dentist put on your tooth was not a perfect crown. The best crown you could get is an Empress All Porcelain crown. They look just like a real tooth.
But that is assuming the tooth under the crown is salvageable. It sounds like it was decaying under that first crown. If the tooth is badly decayed, in need of a root canal or such, then I would consider extracting the tooth and getting a dental implant. Implants are titanium posts that are placed in your jaw and a crown is then put on top of the implant. As long as they Osseointegrate (fuse to the bone) properly (and it should) they are perfect for not decaying and they are designed for ideal retention.
Good luck.

your problem isn't the crown but getting a good doctor.
