i was at the mall and people on cell phones weren't talking they were yelling, into the phone why??

~~hahaha!! These things happen due to poor network. I too was not feeling comfortable when I came through such things but later it was a different story.

Because they can't hear who is talking to them, so they for some reason out of reaction yell into the phone to hear better....Don't ask why.

because the mouth piece is too far away from their mouth & it creates a psychological reaction that they have to yell to reach the mouth piece.
you would think cell phone designers would design a wraparound phone from ear to mouth - that folds up of course & is super slim and super light to alleviate this problem.
p.s. it irritates me too - esp on the train.

It's because the ambient noise level makes them think that they have to talk louder than the noise around them. They are obviously oblivious to the fact that they are speaking louder than necessary and that they are being rude to the people around them.

the people on the other end is deaf and cannot hear....
