I was at the Busch and Cup race at Bristol this past March too! To be honest, I wasn't sure I would like going to a race. I'd been to the Indy 500 and it was tough to see everything that was going on. I really only got to see what happened in the turn I was seat in, it was kind of frustrating. So, I'd always said if I went it'd be a smaller track but I hadn't had much interest in going. By a happy accident my husband and I got tickets to Bristol and I loved it! The whole weekend was a blast! I would definately go back!

We go to 2-3 races a year. THe plan is to get to all of the tracks. So far it has been 12-14, lost count at the moment. They are all great. We plan ahead of time to get there and watch both Busch and the Cup qualifying, and both races. Nothing even compares to it when for the very first time you see those cars coming around the track. The TV does not do justice to the awesome colors and sounds.

Have been to the Talledega race 3 times, Dover a few times, and Richmond once. There were two things that stand out at all the events. First, the pageantry is wonderful. NASCAR really puts on a show. The whole patriotic theme of most of their events, coupled with the sometimes over the top presentation of the event by the event organizers is really a lot of fun and something to experience.
The other thing that stands out is the traffic. The best way to deal with it before the race is to arrive as early as possible. Well before the gates open. After the race, plan to stick around a few hours before you even get in your car. Just walk around, talk to other fans, shop the souvenir stands. Sure beats sitting in a car not going anywhere.
Overall, I had a blast at every race I went to.

I've been to both the Coca Cola 600 in NC and the Pepsi 400 in FL. I went to the Coca Cola 600 a couple of years ago and it was my fav. so I'll tell ya about that one:
The race was on a Saturday night . . . A couple a days before the race, there was a festival thing they had in downtown Charlotte [I think] It was so much fun. There were booths [for sponsors], beer, food, music [concerts], driver meet n greets and lots of free stuff to pump you up for the race. I then went to the Busch race Friday and had a blast. Then we drove to the parking grounds at like 9am Saturday morning and tailgated till the race started. Right across from the track, there is this huge field where all the sponsor trucks are [so you can buy souvenirs, t-shirts, mugs, etc.]. The race itself was long, but I still had tons of fun.

I went to my first NASCAR race July 1st @ New Hampshire this year. I've been to Indy, Busch, Modifieds, and seen SCCA events, this was by far the most fun. I only live about an hour and 45 mins from NHIS, so me and my buddy left early got there early, tailgated (God I love an excuse to drink beer and eat cheeseburgers and sausage at 9 am!). Watched the race, heckled Jr, and picked up some free schwag. We left with 30 laps to go (I didn't feel like tailgating another 3 hours, I had to work the next morning), didn't hit any traffic and got home in an hour and 45 mins.
Everything worked according to plan, so me and my buddy are now going to score tix to the race in Sept in NH. I'd defenitly recommend anyone who is interested in NASCAR to go to a race at least once.

Been to about 50 cups races.Live in North Carolina. Favorite always been the night races at Bristol Fri/Sat night. You can feel the energy from the fans or the buzz in the air. You know that is going to be wild from green flag to checkered flag. It's worth what the price of the ticket is. Lots of action all around the track.

I've been to seven UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 races in the past eight years and I have to say the experience is something that has to be lived. I love everything about it, with the possible exception of the 0500 wake up call in order to get to track ahead of the other 160,000 fans going to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It is always worth the money and preparation to attend. The fans are great, the food is great, the drinks are great (and expensive), and the racing is tops.
Our seats are just before the start/finish line and just far enough up that we get a view of the whole track, so the show is always a great one. I've seen Jeff Burton win a rain shortened race (my first trip to the track), Matt Kenseth win twice, Jeff Gordon win once, Sterling Marlin win once, and Jimmie win twice (I missed the middle race of the threepeat).
It's just awesome.

I went to Watkins Glen International, since I live just down the road from there, I figured I'd better see what the experience was all about. It is a crazy mad house, there were people that missed the race cause they had been partying the whole weekend and kids were walking around unattended, collecting beer/soda cans(5 cent deposit in NY) It was still Bud at the Glen then and Dale Sr. THE MAN!!

I've been to Michigan, Kansas, Vegas and Bristol.
Bristol was by far the best, it was the night race. We camped at the track from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon in a rented RV. AWESOME time.

I went to my very first race in March. It was the Samsung 500 at Texas Motor Speedway and I enjoyed every second of the experience. It would take me probably an entire day to type everything down so just put it this way- It was AWESOME!!!
