Humans, or human beings, are bipedal primates belonging to the mammalian species Homo sapiens (Latin: "wise man" or "knowing man") in the family Hominidae (the great apes).
It's amazing what you can learn from a science book.
Edit- In that case. Yes, I like being human- I think it has something to do with both of my parents being human, not luck. Atheists are not the only ones who believe in evolution, so why the question singled them out I do not know.

We aren't Buddhists you know, well most of us. we don't believe in reincarnation, therefore we can't be anything else other than ourselves. Btw we are of the order primates.

"and are you really convince that your ancestor was a human given that there is no GOD, but evolution causes the human race to exist"
You don't seem to understand, homo sapiens is just a description of the organisms which fall in a narrow spectrum of DNA, imagine a ruler, we are what is between the 0 and the 1, all the spectrum(0-1), not just the 0, the 1 or the .5.

What the hell are you talking about?

My ancestors for at least the last 10,000 years were human, we moved on from pre-primates several hundre-thousand/million years ago...

I don't get how you think we could have ended up a different primate, unless you mean as an entire species. In which case, I don't think it's lucky, it just happened and I'm pretty glad it did.

Yo ..... where you get your definition from? Here is my version of primate :

A primate is any member of the biological order Primates, the group that contains all the species commonly related to the lemurs, monkeys, and apes, with the latter category including humans.
(Wikipedia)

any of various omnivorous mammals of the order Primates, comprising the three suborders Anthropoidea (humans, great apes, gibbons, Old World monkeys, and New World monkeys), Prosimii (lemurs, loris, and their allies), and Tarsioidea (tarsiers), esp. distinguished by the use of hands, varied locomotion, and by complex flexible behavior involving a high level of social interaction and cultural adaptability.

a mammal of an order including monkeys, apes, and humans.

a member of the most developed and intelligent group of mammals, including humans, monkeys, and apes
(http://dictionary.cambridge.org/)

Well, everyone states human as a primate, so what are you? A reptile?

Oh, I really enjoy being a human being and I cannot imagine being anything else, so in that sense I guess I would say I feel lucky. I appreciate the value of all the living creatures on the earth and the truth is that my atoms and molecules probably were part of some other kinds of living things at one time and will be again.

Human beings are primates. I feel luck to be both.

Edit: Of course we evolved from single celled organisms and something even more primitive before that...And still feeling lucky

I'm a christian, and regardless of what religion you are, why would you insult someone's beliefs without even knowing what they believe in. I think you're insinuating that atheists believe in reincarnation. That's stupid. I think they are happy ending up as primates, the same as you (maybe) and me.

If there ever was a meaningless question this is one of them.
1) We are primates
2) we do not buy into reincarnation or any other form of afterlife
3) The way DNA/RNA work I could not be anything else but human.
4) What is so lucky about being human???On what do you base your assumption???

Yes, as a wolf boy (in rabbit's clothing no less), I have luckily managed to avoid being born as a primate-

Excuse me....

Anyway, as I was saying, being born as a member of the human wolf clan, I count myself lucky because---

Sorry, excuse me....

I'm sorry, I'm trying to lick my b@lls clean but I just can't get that last little bit. I'll have to continue this later.

Wish me luck!

er - I don't see what luck has to do with it

I was never going to be born a primate - seeing as how neither of my parents are primate

If I had been a primate I wouldn't be me - different parents
