I think it is no one's business what a guy is attracted to or why. It is a personal choice. So, why when a guy likes a woman with back do they get put down and made fun of? They are looking at her from the inside out instead of outside in. Most men don't get past the outside. So, why would anyone care what a guy is into or not? I have a friend who likes a woman with love handles and he is constantly put down by friends and family for who he dates because they are overweight. I have liked the women he has taken out. He now has a woman he really likes and is possibly falling in love with and he hates to bring her around friends or family because of their comments they make when she is around. She is the nicest and smartest girl! She is very pretty despite the weight too. I just don't get who some people get the idea that they are the date police?

You need to realize that they make these comments because they are insecure and don't know how to deal with your friends own security. People only make rude comments or put downs when they are to scared to try it themselves. They think by putting down the other person it will take away from their insecurities and make the person they are putting down look bad when in actuality it does the complete opposite.

People are very shallow and think the outside of a woman makes the woman. WWWRROONNGG-I'm a slender woman and I have friends that are overweight and they are the most confident girls that I know. Sometimes I find myself a little jealous of them because they seriously don't care what people think of them and they wear things I would have trouble wearing, and they look great and it's all the confidence that oozes out of them. Your friend needs to put his family and friends in check, and if they don't ease up on him then he doesn't need to be around their negativity.

Because they all are shallow & probably date people that dont care about them just so they look good on the outside & thier pride makes them small people that dont get to know a woman's heart so good going to your bro for looking past the flesh

More cushion for the pushin baby.. Gotta love a women with some meat on her bones. I used to be 120 pounds and my man loved me but now Im 140 after 6 years and he loves it even more. Gotta have a girl with substance. Girls who have some weight have more love to give and are not insecure and fake like skinny bitches, and they love life more. gotta love the life. Partly because her weight is readily visible, and it makes an easy target .. and part because it gives them an 'in' to needle their friend or family member.
It all comes down to the people nettling your friend either not knowing when to drop a subject or being disrespectful, both of him and his girl. If your friend can't help them to understand that their ribs are unappreciated or if they are being cruel, then he can either find new friends and limit his interactions with his old friends / family or drop the girl.

People who would make comments to her face or otherwise are despicably rude and disgusting. They are most seriously flawed but too ignorant to recognize it. They should creep back into the holes they crawled out of so they can be alone in their precious perfect-ness.

I think that is sad that no one supports these guys. There is nothing wrong with liking someone that doesn't fit the typical barbie body type. Everyone is different, they should support that!
