Of course you can make up jobs on your Resume, just don't get caught!
50 percent of people lie on their Résumés.
Most Common Lies Include:
* Stretching dates to cover employment gaps
* Enhancing job titles
* Embellishing job duties and achievements
* Inventing employers (I would suggest getting friends to be references, as long as they are in on it and willing to lie for you, they why not?)
Why do people do this? Because they can get away with it provided the company doesn't perform background checks.
However, more companies are doing background checks, and job seekers need to remember that getting caught in a little white lie -- even after being hired -- can cost the job.

No, you can't. What if they want to call and verify your employment? What if you decide to work there for sometime and then later they find out you lied on your resume, you will be fired. Go to the library and get something for writing power resumes. The book will give you ideas on how to take whatever experience you have and make it work for the job you are applying for. It will also help you fill in the holes-whatever they may be. Paid under the table is illegal. It will be worth your time to read a bit and have an excellent resume. When you are young, you are not expected to have this long list of jobs. If you have done any volunteer work, or good with computers and software or any of a number of things are really good fillers. Get the books, do the due diligence. A good resume gets you a good interview and a better chance a higher pay and benefits.

Sure ya can make stuff up on your resume. . .just be prepared to accept the consequences when/if you are caught. I'll tell you what one company I worked for as HR Director did. They would do reference checks following the initial interview if there was serious interest in the candidate. When a job offer was made they had to sign a second authorization to complete a back ground check including criminal and work history. this piece of paper was then put in the HR file--no check was done at that time. HOWEVER, when it came time for promotions OR if there was a situation where they really wanted to get rid of someone out came this little piece of paper and the checking commenced. Normally something could be found that would warrant dismissing the person for cause, thereby preventing them from being able to collect unemployment.
word of warning to you, just keep it real with them. Not only is it grounds for termination if you are caught lying on an application or resume, in more and more places they are attaching criminal penalties to falsifying employment related documents including applications and resumes. Be careful for real, it's not worth going to jail over or losing a good job over!!!!
Good luck to you!!!

If the company does a background check, it wouldn't be a good idea. Not every company goes through that, and the type of check they do may vary also. It isn't best policy in any case, but I can understand the temptation. Sometimes we need a chance and we can't get it because of our resumes. I do know that most employers these days don't even bother to check your past job history mostly because no one is allowed to elaborate on your performance.

No you can't make up jobs. Who knows, maybe they won't check. But if they do that job is gone, and even if they don't right then there is nothing to keep them from checking later and canning you. Then you can't even use them for a reference.
As far as jobs with under the table payments. That's up to who ever employed you there. If they wish to acknowledge you then by all means use them.

No, you can't make up jobs on your resume. If your references are checked and found to be fraudulent, you're not going to be hired. Additionally, jobs that have no record of you being on the books should not be mentioned either.

You can try. If you get caught that would not be a company you would want to work at. Who wants to work at a company that does things the right way?

Never lie on your resume. If they find out, they can put out a warning to other companies also and you may never get hired.
