God comes first does he not? But yet we are commanded also to love even our enemies.

What are your thoughts on this dynamic?

I like Mike G's response.

But are we not commanded to rebuke evil? In our own lives, if Satan apporoaches, and even in our friends lives?

And is to not do so, whether it is politically correct or not, is that giving God what is rightfully his?

When we don't do what others want us to do, that they don't really need for us to do, things that give them the satisfaction of knowing that even though we are Christian they can still manipulate us and so remain comfortable in their sin. We however, can trust God to take care of them, and not rescue them but leave them in his hands, knowing that he knows them better than we know even our own self.

I think of this way is it really real and does it actually effect a good outcome in today's world . If god comes first do we forget about people ? If people are good and effect good does god prove so mean to forget about people or condemn people for being good . when primitives sacrificed virgins to appease their god for promises of crop yield and peace was it any different than the way people pass the buck today?
Can you muster up the intelligence to separate actual good from superstitious and vain hope . Can cause and purpose carry enough weight for people to care now instead of being fooled into giving up for punishment and rewards of death.
Can the value of life be worth something in this lifetime without fooling ourselves by selling our souls to god and the devils of death.does goodness and kindness have to take a back seat to a hereafter that fails to work for real life now.
If you went shopping and instead of seeing a product to purchase you were offered every atrocity and had your money taken blindly in hopes of gaining an unseen purchase but gained only false promises and were sent out on your way feel a little stupid and victimized.
Then why can't you see the analogy between moral atrocity and false promises in the real world and the rights you insist upon when shopping for something less important than the heart and intelligence of your spiritual relationship to real life.
peace

Loving your neighbor is not the same as enabling him.
You may be thinking that loving him means not stopping or condemning him and therefore enabling him, but that's not loving him.
You are not to condemn the sinner for his sins anyway. He won't listen because such things are spiritually discerned and seem as foolishness to the unsaved. Our job is only to lead him to Christ. After that, the Holy Spirit will convict him (but not condemn him) of his sins a little at a time. He will accept criticism from God but not from us.

If you think you are tolerating him by not berating him, you think more highly of yourself than you ought. He is no different than you and I were before we were saved, and no more unsaved than we were.

Loving your enemy means desiring his salvation as much as your own. You are not loving his sin. You are looking past it and seeing him as you once were. If he asks your opinion, which he won't, you wouldn't condone his lifestyle. But, our job is not to squash all the sin in the world. This world will be destroyed entirely by God and a new one created, all without our cleaning up the old one first.

We are to talk about Christ not their sin. We can talk about sin, but not theirs. No one comes to the Lord by finger pointing. In fact, that just chases them away. Focus on delivering the "good news" which is what "Gospel" means. The great command is to go troughout the entire world delivering the good news, not condemning it.

This does not mean that you are turning a blind eye to sin.
In your own life, don't invite it. In your house and at work, set an example of integrity but mixed with humility. When you get to legislate or vote, raise your hand for God. But love those who hate you.

1) Treat others as you would like to be treated.
2) Satan and Jesus are mythology.
