It seems to be a fairly common assumption in religious circles that atheists are inherently immoral and I have also seen religious fundamentalists regard atheists as literally demonic. In fact atheists are persecuted in the US on this basis, ranging from not being able to get a job to having their homes burned down.

Many atheists subscribe to the scientific view that humans have evolved to be as they are. From this it is very simple to see that had humans not had cooperative traits that we would never have reached humanity. In fact, all decent morality is as a direct result of evolution. We don't need a ridiculous book from the late bronze age to tell us right from wrong.

how do you perceive atheists, their morality or propensity for evil?

Atheists are not nessarly Evil people. How ever in all things of this world and Universe there are Right & Wrong,Good & Bad, Positive & negative, and to all yes we may say Humanity has evolved in many ways even from a Biblical prospect cause human become smater, more educated, invent new things, improve live standards way of living, technology, etc.

So my point is that man has improved in many ways But how did man came into exsistance?

Man was created in some form of way sience cant explain man creation. if we just take some time and think of the body funtions how solid food is injested by mouth broken down by the stomach and that feuel the body to do all we do, the brains to function, think, walk, move, taste, smell, hear, etc.

So Man has to have a superior Beeing, A Creator, to control the functions of the body, the way we think, make decisions alone, and the Bible sure supports that in many ways.
Now for the right & wrong, good & bag, or equal forces, God represents Good, Rightousness, the Correct way, the Positive. Now if you not on Gods side( Dont belive in God, dont care about God, dont Reverance God) Then your on the Wrong side, Bad side, Negative Side and all wrong, bad and negative things are Evil.

So The Final Yes Atheists Are Evil

What sort of place do you live in? I have never received a threat of any kind since I have been an Atheist. I have many friends and loved ones both Christian and Unchristian. All who know I am Atheist. I have never even been asked my religion when applying for a job. Quit trying to depict Atheists as evil people who are scorned.

The idea they are demonic is quite ludicrous, and - were it not for the fact that people genuinely have that opinion - is quite humorous, in a darkly-comic way.

Blanket statements like "Atheists [this]" or "Christians [that]" are inexcusably bigoted and - if someone is gonna' have the steelies to say such a thing better hope it's funny, or it will be completely without any redeeming qualities.

People are moral or not. Their professed beliefs have little to do with it ever.

Well of course all morality is based on cooperation. Ironically, religion took this a step further and developed separate moral rules for separate societies, so that a true universal human morality has never developed. Nature's golden rule has been perverted to what are actually competing sets of unnatural and unobeyable strictures. The only gold now involved goes to the priests, shamans, and mullahs.
Atheists are ruled more by their own self-respect than anything else, and know that to respect themselves, they need the respect of others. Religious people are more concerned with the respect (some call it fear) of an essentially unappeasable mythical character,

Any religion can have evil people in it. People are soused to organized religion that if you think outside the box, you MUST be evil. I'm christian, but I like talking to atheists. I can believe what I believe, and you believe what you believe. A lot of atheists hat god because someone religious hurt them, nd that's a natural response. I think it's good to have your belief's challenged bc that makes you stronger. So if you're persecuted, it will make you stronger. If you never fought for your beliefs (or lack thereof) it would mean you had no convictions.

I try not to lump people together. There are good and evil people in all religions and belief systems. However, the Atheists I have met seem very nice, moral and peaceful. But maybe I am biased because they are not constantly shoving their beliefs down my throat and threatening me with condemnation if I do not convert.

I don't think that being an Atheist makes a person immoral. Morality has nothing to do with religion. I know many Atheists and a lot of them are good people.

People who say athiests don't believe in anything are ill-informed. Athiests believe there is no evidence to support the existence of God. That is quite different to not believing in anything.
The definition of evil is not one who is really bad but rather one who is simply unprepared or unable to change. Religious people are therefore evil because they cannot or will not change. They use their books (koran, bible, torah etc) to ligitimise their behaviour but unfortunately their bowing to will of a imaginary theology will only result in the emotional retardation of the individual concerned.

I don't view all atheist as evil, however some of them are just as some people who call themselves christian are evil. You are right that humans have evolved, we have, but not the way you think. We are still evolving, but God is the creator. We don't really know what humans looked like when God first created Adam and Eve now do we?
