I want to lose quite a bit of weight and I was jsut wondering what my goal should be? I rarely ever eat b/c I'm normally not hungry. I don't think it's healthy but I'm scared to eat b/c I don't want to keep gaining weight. I'm also scared of how I will look if I get down to my ideal weight. I want to be nice and skinny and healthy. I want a nice flat tummy. I know a BIG down fall for me is pop. I need help. Should I drink lots and lots of water before I eat? Or should I only drink water for awhile to lose weight? I don't really work out but my work can be pretty intense. I mean every day I get pretty exhausted and get a workout. HELP pls

When I lost my 31 lbs, I lost at a inconstant rate of 1lb per week. Meaning if I was very disciplined, I would lose all the 31 lbs in 31 weeks, which is about 7 to 8 months.

If you take in times when your weight plateau, or when you slack, then 12 months is ok to lose 31 lbs. That what I did.

My diet is very simple and actually wean me off sweet things like your pop. I get to eat lots of veggies, lean meat and some complex carbs and cut almost totally my simple carbs.
This alone increased my metabolism so much that I didn't have to count calories or points. I simply eat the groups of food I mentioned above and Stop when I am full. It doesn't take much to be full. That's why I have to eat 5 to 6 meals a day.

For drinks, I take water, chinese tea (get non-caffeine), and low fat milk. I snack on nuts and cheese to stop sugar cravings. Sometimes , and even now, I eat dark chocolates and low fat frozen yogurt. Favourite foods outside the groups are not forbidden, but once in a while.

I walk moderately briskly every weekday morning, before I start anyting else. I don't wait for the end of the day when I am feeling lazy or exhausted. Brisk walking is great for burning fats and increasing metabolism without making you hungry.

To lose weight healthily, you must eat, but the right foods. My blood tests showed an improvement in my cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure levels.

Well, I am eating the same foods and still maintaining my weight at 108lbs for more than a year now.

Probably about a pound... You figure there's roughly 3,500 calories to a (solid) pound of fat. So you'd have to reduce your total caloric intake by at LEAST 500 calories every day- to lose 1 pound a week. And 500 calories is quite abit. Eating a balanced diet, drinking plenty of water, and getting regular excersize- should go a LONG way towards helping your diet along. Keep at it, DON'T get discouraged -& good luck! :)
