The bible says from Adam and Eve. The proof is that we were created...in God's image. Thgis does not necessarily mean that we look like god, but that we have similar attributes/. the Main one being love.
Also, only man is aware that he will eventually die.
animals do not have this ability.
And only man is aware of the possibility of a spiritual realm. *Including God.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.

There have been bones found of really old apes and bones of really old humans. They were compared, but thats about it. Computerly, scientists created the gradually change from monkey to human. They make it look so believable and claim it took many many many decades. So if it took that long for such a progression why are there no bones or remains found from this region? There isn't one. The earliest human, Lucy, looks nothing like a monkey. And the oldest monkeys look alot like todays monkeys.
Atheists talk about how they have a hard time believing in religion because there just isn't enough proof. Well how can they believe that we have monkeys as our ancestors when there really isn't any proof of that either. I mean we just have some similar features.
By the way... Though monkeys have the most physical resemblance, Dolphins have the most intellectual resemblance (which is now pending on the fact that elephants are pretty smart too). And I believe our organs are not so similar to that of a monkey either.
So basically its like saying apples and lemons can come from the same tree because they are both round and have many tiny seeds near the middle.

Lots of argument for this. Let me give a neutral answer. Intelligent human descended from Adam & Eve. Less intelligent human descended from apes. Satisfied?
I just checked my family tree, it goes all the way to Adam and Eve.

Adam and Eve of course! I would be so embarrassed to tell people that my ancestors were apes, if they were in the first place.

I believe that Adam and Eve were the 1st humans and that they were created by God, I do not claim to know the process by which he created Adam and Eve.

Neither, but Adam and Eve is the most nonsensical version of the origin of mankind.

ok let's see. on one hand, there's a lot of scientific evidence that humans share a common ancestor with the apes. on the other hand, we have a book with stories of talking snakes and gods making people from dirt and spare ribs, the sort of stuff which is really no different to many other origins myths from dead cultures that absolutely no one takes seriously. so for me it's not a hard choice.

No-one thinks humans developed from apes (have you noticed, apes are still here?). But science has revealed that the first humans (that would be Adam and Eve in biblical parlance) and modern apes shared a distant common ancestor, which was neither ape nor human.

i strongly believe that humans have evolved to this state from some primative form may be apes.most relegion tell the story regarding how man came to this world.but it seems absurd .actually i strongly believe that science and relegion both are in the quest of searching our origin.great philosophers have given a deep thought to this .but sadly the religious platform was hijacked by some people to fullfill their vested interest .thankfully the science is on propper path .even some religious preachers \philosophers have done exlent job in tingaling our mind in the right direction.
