Not only is it fair, it is natural for you to want and need someone special in your life. No one has a time line. You could fall in love and the woman and she could get hit by a bus, quit worrying about what ifs and try your best to stay healthy and you will find the right person to share things with.

Stop worrying... its nice that you care about others feelings - if you pass away... life is for living - so get out there and bonk as many as you can - try and be happy .. come over to the UK - the best heart surgeons in the world are here ...heart ops are an everyday occurrence .. be brave...stay happy.

Everyone is allowed to love. I know that it will hurt, when you leave someone close but they have to accept it. Instead of pitying yourself, you should enjoy the time you have left with the people you care about. And smile! :D

"tis better to have loved and lost than to never to have loved at all". loss IS part of being in any kind of relationship. sounds like you are more afraid to get attached and are using the excuse of "not hurting someone else" to not have a relationship.

It's fair to want a relationship, just be honest from the start so she knows what she's getting into.

i say yea it's fair to want a relationship. people just need to now eachother and they need to find out what they have in common that's how it all starts and let it rip on to a relationship.

I think that as long as your honest, then it should really be up to them. I think that I would rather have known true love and lost it than to never have known it at all.
