You will not want to drive after. I've had a few, I did drive and I was fine, but I did not have to go so far. They basically get all the infection out of your tooth (it's gotten to the nerve if you're having a root canal), and clean the root itself! Then they fill it all. lol Good luck, just make sure you're GOOD AND NUMB. It took like four novicane shots before I was numb. Any pain is too much, you should not feel anything during the procedure.

Of course you will be okay. No big deal. Dentist have lots of experience. Root canal is done to take care of your problem not cause another one.

If done correctly, you should feel fine afterwards. Now during the procedure it's very uncomfortable and painful for some people.

Wait, 15-20minutes in the doctors office before you drive home and take a break after 45 minutes of driving. You should be fine if you're NOT TAKING ANY PAIN MEDICINE which might make you drowsy.

Good luck,

Rob.

HELLO,
TO DESCRIBE THIS IS EASY TERMS IS WHEN THE DENTIST REMOVES A NERVE FROM A TOOTH AND REPLACES THE NERVE WITH A SPECIAL FILLING MATERIAL.
IT TAKES AS LONG AS IT DOES BECAUSE IT'S VERY METICULOUS AND PRECISE WORK. SOMETIMES A TOOTH HAS A HARD TO FIND CANAL WHICH MUST BE FOUND AND TREATED.
YOU WILL BE OK. DIFFICULTIES AFTER A ROOT CANAL ARE NOT THE NORM.

you will be fine. it's no more than getting a tooth filled. they shoot you up with novicain and take out the nerve in your tooth. and woof. it's over. i have had 3 or 4 done. but it's expensive. that's the hard part.
