I am from Canada and thinking about buying one of these cars and was wondering if anyone has one or has driven one. I am also considering the Hyundai Elantra. Any information you can give me would be helpful. I am especially looking for info from someone who has these cars. Thanks

Nissan Sentra has a few key bonuses over the Versa and those are
1. 2.0L 140hp engine compared to versa's 1.8L 122hp engine... they get the same gas mileage by the way.

2.Sentra has standard CVT transmission that doesn't shift you have to get a SL Versa to get the transmission more info on the transmission in the link.

3. Seats fold completely flat in the sentra and only fold forward in the Versa but not flat.

4. Glove box on the Sentra can fit a 15in. laptop

5. Divide and hide in the Sentra's trunk is awesome.

6. Standard side airbags on both... both cars have excellent crash test ratings.

Well my choice would be the Sentra because for $14900 on special at my dealer with power window/locks/mirrors, key-less entry, and automatic... the versa is only $200 dollars cheaper... but you get 1-6 above as bonuses....

Nissan will have a cross over SUV in a couple of months too. The Rogue. Versa hatch is more user friendly and seat folded can haul a lot. Sentra has larger engine but is not less effecient. Get a fully optioned car with bluetooth and 250 watt rockford sound system. Trade in time that will pay dividens.

as an owner of a nissan sentra, would say the sentra. i test drove both cars, since i was also interested in the versa. the versa is nice if you like hatchbacks. the sentra has a lot of pluses including bluetooth and a spacious trunk. it's more affordable than the altima, but it definitely doesn't fail to make a name for itself.

nissan versa is great car 5 star crash test rating from front to side and rear standard side airbags on both cars versa have plenty of room if you looking for that you can actually fit two 6 footers in the front and rear and still be comfortable, with 1.8 engine 122 hp is not bad. sentra also is great vehicle also 2.0 engine 140 hp fun to drive handle very well room is little smaller looks big from the outside but inside is litte small. go drive both vehicle and see which one you like

Sentra is a much better car. Much faster, better acceleration, and a bit better looking. As soon as you take that new Versa out of the dealer lots, you'll lose so much value on it.

My mom has a '97 Sentra and her husband has an '07 Versa. Both seem to be great cars with great gas mileage.
