I have five piercings and one tattoo so far but I wouldn't say I like pain. I can stand more of it than most of my friends can but I know that the little bit of pain (if any) will be worth it. Some people are terrified of pain and go through hell to get tattoos and piercings, but they do it because it is what they want and can look past what it takes. For me I guess it's like having a baby. Anyone I know that has a child says they would do it again despite the problems, stress, pain, and time it can take (a friend was recently in labor for 27 hours >.<). I am willing to feel some potential pain, at my own choice because I know that when it heals it will have been for a reason. Everyone reacts differently though, tattoos and piercings can't be generalized, just like nothing else can be. Pretty much it's an addicting feeling once you've done it and are more likely to do it again if you are that determined. The adremaline rush is amazing!

Probably, but not necessarily. people that like a little pain would be able to get tattoos/piercings easier than someone that couldn't stand pain.
But the pain of a tattoo is pretty much done right after you get it. If you can stand sitting still for the initial tattoo, then you're good to go. The most you'll feel after the fact is a bit sore and maybe like you have a sunburn in that area for a while.
And the pain of piercings is sharp, fast, and gone in under 10 seconds, besides the slight throbbing.
i say if you want something, even if you hate pain, get it.
Buuut then again i enjoy pain a bit, so who am i to say? :-P hehe

Yeah I don't know about it being people who like pain more like people who can tolerate pain as far as getting multiple tattoos. I dislike pain but I'm facinated by piercings and I like tattoos. My desire to have the tattoo or the piercing kinda overcomes the pain. Plus piercings it's fast so the pain is more tolerable. Tattoos is like constant so you deff have to have a tolerance.

its not painful to get a tattoo, its a pretty nice sensation. it almost tickles. after more than about two hours, it starts to burn a little bit, but its still not painful. piercing is so quick, you dont even remember the pain. its all about mind over matter, if you think its gonna hurt, its more than likely gonna hurt. i dont think people who get them think about the pain aspect very much at all.

I think that it is more likely that people who like pain will have multiple piercings and tatoos, but for the most part I think that people are generally curious about and get one. If they enjoy it then they get more.

if i liked pain i would slap myself in the face a few hundred times. tattoos are painful for a brief period of time and then they are just there for life. the thought that something so permanent would be done for the enjoyment of pain is ridiculous. use your brain.

well i don't know if every single person who gets multiple piercings/tatts like the pain, but you must have a pretty good tolerance of pain as its not like either feel fantastic :)

I'd say people who aren't too scared of pain...not so much that they like it.
