You can staple them to 3-5" boards and mount the boards to the wall. Or you could sew some rings to the back of the drapes and hang from medallions.

I did it with tension rods inside the window, also I saw in home depot they have some type of bracket that attaches to the inside of the window but gives the impression of a regular rod

I have had smaller windows that I have tied through a long piece of yarn and stapled up. (door windows, etc.) :)

i have used real long sticks before to give it that nature look , or you could hammer it to the wall that works to
