My doctor said that i shouldn't wash my face more than twice a day so it won't dry out. So, I wash it and use a moisturizer as directed. My face seems to keep breaking out. What could possibly be the problem?

hey i know u might think i'm crazy but try washing your face once a day. Some oils are good for your skin and if you completely strip them off your face twice a day it might make your face too dry which can cause acne. If you go about a week washing your face once, and your still breaking out, talk to a dermatologist or find some new acne washes.

Maybe it's the moisturizer you are using.
I know that when you wash your face to often that it dries your skin, but then your skin makes more oil because it was dried. Your skin needs some oil so when you wash it off the skin makes more. Maybe if you don't use the moisturizer for a few days so that your face gets balanced naturally.

Because you wash your face and then put moisturizer on you may be making your skin suffer. So maybe less water and a little bit moisturizer. Or you may have an allergic reaction.

You may be getting an allergy to your moisturizer. Make sure it's a hypoallergenic brand and talk to your doctor about what's been going on. Good luck!

well sometimes it can only get worse before it gets good because your skin`s just getting used to the product. but sooner or later it`ll get used to it & things will clear up. if not, go back to your doctor & tell him your problem.
